CAFS Director

Provides services to children and thier families who have been identified by MCFD as having serious behaviour, social and emotional adjustment problems. Services are defined as treatment activities which may take the form of direct child management, group counselling, family/caregiver counselling, crisis intervention and/or specialized consultation to caregivers and other professional agents.

A emergency five bed residence for youth between the ages of 13 and 19 years old. All referrals are from the Ministry of Children and Family Development. Winter House works in conjuction withthe ministry to facilitate the youth's care plan, providing support, counselling and assessments.

Laird Watt
Program Manager

A residentially based family counselling oriented service for adolescents 13-16 years old experiencing intense and protracted conflict with their parents. Youth go home on weekends. The program help families develop more favorable solutions to the problems represented by such conflicts. A post-residential Aftercare program offers family counselling and in-home parent training. All referrals are from the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
